The Rock FoundationWomen's Tri-Fitness president, Al Rosen, recently announced the partnership of the Children's Fitness Challenge and The Rock Foundation. Rosen explains: Recently, at the premier of Gridiron Gang, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and his wife Dany announced the creation of the Dwayne Johnson ROCK Foundation. “The foundation creates a platform of hope and possibility for children nationwide by providing programs designed to enrich and empower the lives and self-esteem of under-served, at-risk youth and children hospitalized for medical disabilities, disorders and illnesses. We serve a variety of children ranging from infancy to twenty-two years of age. Our goal is to make every child smile,” states Dany Johnson. Dwayne”The Rock” explains: “I have known Al Rosen my entire life and I believe in what he does for women and children. The Children's Fitness Challenge is a great grass roots program for the Women's Tri-Fitness (where most of the athlete's are moms). I see how hard the athletes of the Women's Tri-Fitness work and the self esteem they have and pass on to their siblings. With the Children's Fitness Challenge, the children will learn they can overcome the obstacles of life the same way they succeed through the obstacle course. Hard work, discipline, and focus will help them prevail in the fitness challenge and in life.”
The November 2006 Women's Tri-Fitness National Challenge in Tampa will allow us to expand the Children's event. We will be bringing events and camps to Atlanta, Charlotte, Tampa, Chicago, Ft. Lauderdale, Woodbridge (New Jersey) as well as Las Vegas during 2007. We welcome all children who wish to challenge themselves and have fun. There will be no charge for children,” says Rosen.
